Newborn Sessions

 

Each photo session includes 2 hours worth of shoot time with unlimited outfit changes and location changes, as well as a CD (with a case) that contains anywhere from 15-30 processed photos. Each CD comes with a print release that will allow a single individual permission to print photos of any size at his or her photo lab of choice. Please keep in mind that a print release does NOT grant legal copyright ownership to anyone but the legal owner/artist of the photos. Please understand that newborn sessions can take a very long time because the baby is ultimately in charge. Be patient with me and allow me to do my job in order to ensure that you get your moneys worth. I encourage that you kep your baby wide awake for at least two hours before his/her session and then feed him/her a RIGHT before his/her session. *I will only travel to your home for an added cost. Otherwise, please make arrangements to come to my place of work.

 

A newborn session may include:

• Any newborn between two days and 3 months old.

• Mom, dad, siblings etc. for an additional $10.00 charge per person

*If you would like me to travel to a location that requires me to bring props of any kind, (e.g. indoor photography, headshots etc.) there is an added fee as shown below. This fee is for extra hassle involving working with unfamiliar lighting situations and hauling equipment.

Frequently asked questions:

 

What kind of camera do I use? I currently use a Canon 6D Professional DSLR camera.

 

How long will this session take? it may take anywhere from 90 minutes to 4 hours depending upon how the newborn is cooperating.

 

What editing program do I use? I use the latest edition of photoshop – Adobe Photoshop CS6.

 

Can I crop out pimples and perform retouching? YES!

 

Where do I order your prints from? I order online at mpix.com which is a next-to-professional lab that has a branch located in Pittsburg, KS. The lab I order from is user friendly and completely available to anyone.

 

Where do I recommend you to order prints from? I would highly recommend ordering online from www.mpix.com! All you have to do is sign up, upload your photos, and swipe your credit card and a package will show up at your doorstep in no time!

 

What location should you have your photos taken at? Don’t worry, I have discovered tons of spots and I rarely use the same place twice.

 

How should you pose in my pictures? I will have a sheet of poses at your session for you to look at and choose from.

 

Am I going to pursue photography as a career? No, but I do hope to pursue it as a side job J
